Aron Bohlig is the founder of ComCap LLC. Aron has worked in the fields of finance and technology for approximately twenty-three years. As an investment banker Aron has completed billions of dollars of financing and M&A transactions with sponsor-backed, private and public companies. Transactions have included IPOs, cross-border mergers, divestitures and acquisitions as well as a wide variety of public and private debt and equity financings. Aron has extensive international experience having completed transactions in Western Europe, Russia, Japan, China and the ASEAN region.
Previously Aron worked at Credit Suisse, Savvian and Investec. As an operator he has served as President of a European division of a Texas Pacific Group portfolio company (Become.com) and has held director-level sales engineering, vertical sales and product management positions within the Clarify software division of Nortel Networks where his responsibilities included strategy, new product introduction and business development in the US, Europe and Asia. Aron is co-author of a book on selling business to business technology products. Aron is also a member of the oldest angel investing group, the Band of Angels. Aron holds an MBA from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and a BS in computer science from the University of Puget Sound.
Aron enjoys skiing, surfing, running and going to the theater and frequently attempts to convince his two daughters to stop staring at their phones long enough to join him.
Fermin Caro is a Founder of ComCap and is a Vice President focusing on ecommerce services, SaaS, payments companies. Fermin has over 16 years of experience in investing in and advising high growth software and tech enabled services companies. He’s made over 20 private equity investments, and advised on over 30 buy-side and M&A technology, payments, and ecommerce transactions across the US, Europe, Asia, and Latin America. At ComCap he has advised emerging and global technology and services companies on their growth and business strategies.
Fermin previously worked as part of the Investment Banking Group at Credit Suisse in the Tech, Media, Telecom and Financial Institutions practices in both New York and London. Prior to Credit Suisse, Fermin was an investment professional managing Fund of Funds investments at SVB Capital. He also oversaw strategic fund and direct equity investments for Silicon Valley Bank and worked closely with their technology and venture capital commercial banking groups.
Fermin graduated with distinction from the Yale School of Management (MBA) and received his BA from San Diego State University. Originally from Mexico City, he grew up in Southern California and now resides in San Francisco with his wife, and three daughters. He is fluent in Spanish and Portuguese and enjoys international travel, tennis and sailing.
Steve Terry is a Managing Director at ComCap LLC. He has been a technology investment banker for over twenty years. He began his investment banking career with Kidder Peabody’s M&A group in New York and moved to the Bay Area in 1995 to work with Robertson Stephens. He was fortunate to have had the chance to work with industry defining technology businesses in the early stages of their development such as Pixar and E*Trade, and was trained in the importance of positioning businesses such as these for the best possible reception by the capital markets.
He has executed hundreds of transactions including: mergers, acquisitions, IPOs, private and public equity and debt issuances, including convertible bonds. He has worked at both large platform, full service investment banks such as Credit Suisse First Boston’s Technology Group led by Frank Quattrone, and smaller boutiques such as Montgomery & Co. Steve also worked at Battery Ventures as a Venture Partner. In that role he was in charge of all capital markets activities throughout the portfolio. He holds an MBA from the Red McCombs School of Business of the University of Texas at Austin, and a BBA in finance from Texas A&M University.
Steve always wanted to live in the Bay Area due to its vibrant windsurfing community, but he went to the dark side of kiteboarding in 1999 and never looked back. He can be characterized as an average (according to his son), but enthusiastic surfer, loves to cook and plays guitar, vocals and harmonica in a local Mill Valley, CA dad band.
Matt Nemer is a Senior Advisor at ComCap LLC. He has been a leading Wall Street research analyst for nearly 20 years. Matt was the first sell-side retail analyst to cover Amazon (2007) and recognize the shift this would cause for bricks and mortar retailers. He was also the only US based analyst to cover bricks and mortar retail with pure play ecommerce companies, video commerce companies, and global marketplaces. Matt started his Wall Street career in the sales/trading department at Montgomery Securities, but transitioned to an equity research role at Donaldson Lufkin & Jenrette, and a senior analyst role at Thomas Weisel Partners. Most recently, Matt was the lead retail / ecommerce analyst at Wells Fargo Securities in San Francisco.
During his career, Matt has worked on a wide variety of retail and ecommerce transactions, including IPOs and follow ons for Alibaba, Wayfair, Dollar General, Five Below and dozens of other consumer growth companies. He is frequently asked to consult with management teams, boards, and private investment firms. Matt has been a keynote speaker at Google’s Think Retail conferences and has been quoted in nearly every major financial media outlet including the Wall Street Journal and CNBC. Matt graduated from Vanderbilt University with BA degree in Economics and attended the Northfield Mount Hermon School in Massachusetts.
In his spare time, Matt also operates a retail store in Marin County, CA where he tinkers with omni channel technology. When he isn’t teaching his kids how to work the new point of sale system, he can be found skiing, hiking, or playing tennis.
Swetha Vijay is a Director at the firm and is based out of Singapore.
She has over nine years of corporate finance experience in Southeast Asia and India servicing global, and specifically, Asia Pacific clients.
Most recently, Swetha was a Vice President at Avista (Houlihan Lokey’s affiliate in Southeast Asia) where she originated and executed various transactions in the technology and consumer space.
Swetha has also worked at Deloitte & Touche Corporate Finance in Singapore for two years. While at Deloitte, she worked on several M&A, fairness opinion and fund raising transactions in education, services and other sectors.
Prior to Deloitte, she was DBS Bank and spent a year in the Financial Institutions Group. She later moved to the Mergers & Acquisitions team where she worked on buy-side, sell-side and delisting advisory deals in the telecommunications, oil & gas and technology manufacturing sectors.
Swetha has previously interned at HSBC and has also spent some time jointly working on two tech startups in Singapore.
She graduated from the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad, India (MBA) and has a Bachelors degree in Information Technology Engineering from the University of Mumbai. She holds the CMFAS 4A certificate for advising on corporate finance transactions in Singapore.
In her free time, she loves to travel, read and take her daughter cycling to the beach.
